Ellen Osborne, Attended by 5, Is Married Here
Bride of Robert Tytus Coolidge at Church of Resurrection

The Protestant Episcopal Church of the resurrection was the setting here yesterday afternoon for the marriage of Miss Ellen Leonard Osborne of New York to Robert Tytus Coolidge. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Edmund Burke Osborne of Pacific Grove, Calif, formerly of New York and Hampton, Conn., and the late Mr. Osborne. Her husband is a son of Mrs. Gilbert L. Steward of Topsfield, Mass., and the late Lawrence Coolidge, Boston lawyer. The Rev. Gerald Humphrey performed the ceremony. Robert Graham Osborne gave his sister in marriage. She was attired in a gown of ivory peau de soie embellished with a bertha of rosepoint lace. With ti she wore a veil of heirloom Brussels lace arranged in a mantilla. She carried a cascade bouquet of white orchids and lilies of the valley. Mrs. Philip Manning Goodwin was matron of honor. The bridesmaids were the Misses Holly McLennan, Ellen Choffin and Noel Bausher. Catherine Buell was flower girl for her cousin. The best man was the bridegroomís brother, Lawrence Coolidge. Mrs. Coolidge attended the Brearley School and graduated from Bennington College. She received an M.A. degree from the University of California. Her husband, an alumnus of Groton School and Harvard College, where he was a member of Hasty-Pudding-Institute of 1770, holds a masterís degree in medieval history from the University of California. The couple will live in Oxford, England, where Mr. Coolidge will continue his studies at Oriel College.
