Ruth McFarland and “Bill” Hart to Be Married June 17th
The seventeenth day of June, a Saturday, will be the wedding day of Miss Ruth McFarland of Riverside and Franklin Joseph Hart, who is “Bill to his friends of Monterey and Pacific Grove. The wedding will be a quiet home ceremony at the Riverside residence of Mr. and Mrs. C.L. McFarland, parents of the bride-to-be. Miss McFarland, a graduate of Stanford university, is the sister of Miss Jean McFarland of Berkeley and Miss Mary McFarland, an attorney who is associated with her father in the practice of law at Riverside. Bill Hart is the son of Mrs. Frank R. Hart and the late Dr. Hart of Pacific Grove, and the brother of Dr. Archie J. hart of Monterey. A Pacific Grove resident since his boyhood days, he was graduated from the Pacific Grove high school and the University of California. For the last two years he has been on the faculty of the Pescadero high school. Miss McFarland was a recent houseguest of Dr. and Mrs. Archie Hart at their home on Colton street, in Monterey, and was the complimented guest at informal parties given by her hostess and her future mother-in-law, Mrs. Frank Hart. Last Friday evening the bride-elect announced her wedding plans to a group of friends whom she entertained at a bridge party in her Riverside home.
