Hickman-Allred exchange vows
Paulette Ann Hickman of Seaside and Richard Elliot Allred of Carmel were married Sept. 6 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Seaside. Miss Hickman, a graduate of Pacific Grove High School, is the daughter of Mrs. Keiko Hickman of Monterey and George R. Hickman of Galliano, La. Her brother, Robert S. Hickman, is in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany. The bride is a receptionist with a local grocery chain. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Allred of Carmel are the parents of the groom, who is employed with a local retail store and is a Carmel volunteer fireman. He is a graduate of Carmel High School and the brother of Deborah Allred of San Jose, Vern Allred Jr., Kimberly Allred and terri Allred, all of Carmel. The bride wore a gown of white crepe with lace sleeves trimmed in seed pearls. A matching Juliet cap held her veil. She carried a boquet of pink lilies and roses. Mrs. Reginald Pully of Soledad, the bride’s sister, served as matron of honor. Kimberly and Terri Allred were bridesmaids. The groom’s cousin, Arthur Allred Jr. of San Diego was best man. Vern Allred Jr. seated the guests. A reception in the Boy Scout House in Carmel followed the ceremony. The couple will make their home in Seaside following a wedding trip to Southern California.
