September Popular Month For Pacific Grove Marriages
Brides and weddings continue to be the focal point of the Peninsula society spotlight this month more so than ever as each week new members of the younger set join the marital ranks, and others step in the bride-elect group. With five weddings scheduled the coming week promised to be the busiest of the entire months.
To Wed Tomorrow – Culminating a romance of several years will be the marriage of Miss Claire Moran and William Frederick Davison tomorrow afternoon at the San Carlos Catholic church when Father C.T. Kerfs reads the service. The attractive daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Moran of Crocker avenue, Miss Moran is a talented member of a versatile family all of whom are outstanding in the world of arts. She is a granddaughter of Daniel O’Connell, prominent in early San Francisco belles letters, and also of Captain Charles Moran of the King’s Dragoon Guards. After she was graduated from the local high school, she attended the California School of Arts and Crafts in Oakland and later continued the study of interior decorating with Mrs. K. Hope Hamilton of San Francisco. Mr. Davison, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Porter Davison, is well known in Peninsula sports and is now the pitcher for the Texaco baseball team. He also is a graduate of the local high school After their marriage, the couple are planning to establish residence here.
