Married Three Weeks Ago Today
Miss Leila Reeves and Claude Frank Pickman exchanged marriage vows in the East Chapel of the First Methodist Church of Pacific Grove on July 2, in a ceremony conducted by Col. John R. Wright, Chaplain, U.S. Army, retired. The bride, who was given away by Mr. Robert Getz, walked to the altar wearing a white ballerina length dress of waffle pique and carried a bouquet of Cecil Brunner roses and orange blossoms. Her maid of honor, Miss Jean Getz, wore a yellow dress of the same material, while her flowers were yellow Peruvian lilies and snapdragons. The groomís brother, Paul Frederick Pickman of San Francisco, served as best man. The mothers of the couple, Mrs. Hudson Reeves of Medford, Oregon, and Mrs. Mathew Klein of Santa Anna were both present for the ceremony, however, their fatherís were unable to be present because of business obligations. Following the wedding a reception was held in the 14th street home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Getz. The newlyweds cut a three tiered wedding cake before they left for Santa Cruz on their honeymoon. Also present at the marriage ceremony and reception were the brideís brother, Wayne Reeves of Medford, Oregon; Messrs. And Mesdames H.M. Laughery, Ed Capon, Howard Neubauer, Edwin Brooks, and Jack Broadus; Mesdames Ralph Kent and John R. Wright; Misses Myrna and Kathleen Getz, Ada Giamona, Genevieve Kent, Evelyn Wright, Donna Brooks, and Mary Lee Capon. From San Francisco came Mr. and Mrs. Rod Pederson, Miss Betty Honzik, and Miss Patricia OíConner. Leila and her husband are former residents of San Francisco, but now, both are very much P.G.ites. At present they are residing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Getz.
