Popular Couple Reveal Plans For October Wedding
Dan Cupid continues to raid the ranks of Pacific Groveís younger set this month as well as in September with another popular couple announcing intentions to wed. Miss Miriam Lucile Spear and Robert Hart are the latest to join the ranks with their plans for an October wedding. The bride-elect is the attractive blonde daughter of Mrs. Lottie Spear of Pacific Grove and the sister of Mrs. Vernon Gebhart of Watsonville and Mrs. Don Donaldson of Pacific Grove. A graduate of the local high school with the class of 1934, she later attended the Salinas Junior College. She is now employed at Peaseís drug store. Her fiancť is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Hart of Sixth street and he also attended the local high school and later spent some time in North Dakota. He is the brother of Miss Helen Hart of Pacific Grove and Miss Ruth Hart of San Francisco. He is connected with a New Monterey service station.

Popular Grove Bride-Elect Set Date of Wedding
One of the delightful prenuptial courtesies extended Miss Mariam Lucile Spear, daughter of Mrs. Lottie Spear, and the financee of Robert hart, was the shower given Tuesday evening with Miss Georgeann Good and Miss Barbara Phillipe entertaining at the formerís home. Bridge was the diversion for the evening with high score award going to Miss Louise Parker and low score award to Mrs. Lottie Spear. Later there was a buffet supper. Preent to fete the honoree were Mrs. Lottie Spear, Mrs. Don Donaldson, Mrs. William Ford, Mrs. William Good, Mrs. Allen Page, Mrs. George Good, Mrs. Robert Garrett, Mrs. Kenneth Oxner, Miss Gordon Olmsted, Miss Louise Parker, Miss Anne Norton, Miss Lois Reed, Miss Betty Lou Wilson and the hostesses. Last evening the bride-elect was complimented with another lovely affair when she was made honoree of a surprise shower given by Misses Elsie Hafner and Miss Louise parker at the formerís home. According to plans revelaed this week the popular young couple will be married either next Monday or Tuesay at the Congregational church parsonage with the Rev. John Hunter officiating. The bride will be attired in a smart suit of brown with matching accessories and will be unattended. Only members of the immediate families will be present. The attractive blonde daughter of Mrs. Lottie Spear of Pacific Grove, the bride-to-be was graduated from the local high school with the class of 1934, and later attended the Salinas Junior College. She is the sister of Mrs. Don Donaldson of Pacific Grove and Mrs. Vernon Gebhart of Watsonville. Mr. Hart is the son of Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Hart and also attended the local high school. He is the brother of Miss Helen Hart of Pacific Grove and Miss Ruth Hart of San Francisco. He is employed in a New Monterey service station. The couple plan to make their home in the Grove.
