Monterey Peninsula Herald, CA Sept. 10, 1969
Vows Exchanged Aug. 23
In a noon ceremony Aug. 23 at the Presidio of Monterey chapel, Sheila Maureen Hill and Curtis Wayne Everett exchanged marriage vows before Chaplain Robert Curtis (Col. USA ret). The new Mrs. Everett is the daughter of Maj. Thomas L. Hill (USAF ret) and Mrs. Hill of Monterey. The benedict’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin J. Everett, are former Monterey residents who now make their home at Fairbanks, Alaska. Of white satin, the bride’s full length empire gown was styled with long sleeves, a round neckline and chapel train. She wore a small headpiece of pet and pearls to secure her waist length illusion veil and carried a bouquet of white roses and stephanotis. Pamela Hill was her sister’s maid of honor. Another sister, Betty, was in charge of the guest book at the reception held at the Presidio Officers’ Club. Ed Yoakum of Pacific Grove was best man and guests were seated by the bride’s brothers, Kevin and Christopher Hill, both of Monterey. The newlyweds, who honeymooned in Southern California, will make their future home at San Jose, where the former Miss Hill is enrolled in the San Jose Hospital School of Nursing. She is a graduate of Monterey High School, as is her husband, who is currently serving with the U.S. Navy at Point Mugu.
