A May 17 Wedding Planned By Couple
Rhea Ellen Seaton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. Seaton of Pacific Grove, has chosen May 17 for her marriage to Lt. (j.g) Bernard Lee Simonsen, who is currently stationed at Idaho Falls, Idaho. Carmel/s Church of the Wayfarer will be the scene of the couple’s wedding. Miss Seaton, who flies out of San Francisco as a hostess with Air West, and her fiancé were on the Monterey Peninsula last month during leaves. On March 18, just before he was to return to his base, they made the announcement of their betrothal to their parents by telephone from the Monterey Airport. Lt. Simonsen is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. Simonsen of Rio Vista. The future bride, a graduate of Pacific Grove High School and Monterey Peninsula College, is a past honored queen of Bethel 223, Pacific Grove International Order of Job’s Daughters. Charles H. Seaton of San Jose is her brother. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. H.D. Stetson of Santa Clara and of Mrs. C.T. Seaton of Shreveport, La., and the late Mr. Seaton. Lt. Simonsen graduated at the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Md., in 1967 and received an M.S. degree in mathematics from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey. He is stationed at the Navy’s Nuclear Power Trianing Unit at Idaho Falls. His sisters are Marilou, presently in AFS exchange student in Brazil, and Eileen Sue of Rio Vista. The lieutenant is the brother of Paul and James Simonsen, the former a U.S. Army lieutenant in Vietnam and the latter a student at St. Mary’s College. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Maker of Phoenix, Ariz.
