Rogers-Taggart
In a late afternoon ceremony at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Monterey, Janis Lynn Rogers of Pebble Beach and Timothy Raymond Taggart of Carmel were married Saturday. The newlyweds are honeymooning in Northern California and will make their home in Pomona. A Carmel High School and Monterey Peninsula College alumna, the bride is presently a senior at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Orville C. Rogers of Pebble Beach. The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Taggart of Carmel, is a graduate of Monterey Peninsula College and has attended California State University at Long Beach. He is presently employed with Certified Foods in Corona. Maid of honor was Diane Harrison of Pomona. The brideís sister, Diane Rogers of Pebble Beach, and the groomís sister, Betsy Taggart of Carmel, were bridesmaids. The bridegroom has two other sisters. Mrs. Ron Cobly of Pacific Grove and Mrs. Ben Tilghman of Summit, N.J. Robert Taggart Jr. of Berkeley was his brotherís best man. The groomís other two brothers, Thomas Taggart of Houghton, Mich., and David Taggart of Monterey, seated guests at the church. A reception for the coupe was held on La Novia Terrace at the Naval Postgraduate School following the marriage ceremony at which the Rev. Ernest Lineberger was officiating minster. The bride wore a gown of white eyelet in Victorian style and a finger-tip veil, both of which she fashioned herself.
