Two Young Hearts Now Beat As One
The many friends of Miss Mildred West, daughter of Mrs. J.E. West of this city, and Roy Thompson, manager of the Hotel Jeffrey, were agreeably surprised last evening to learn that the popular young couple had quietly taken their departure for Monterey, where they were united in marriage by Justice Ernest Michaelis. After the ceremony they returned to Salinas and congratulations upon the happy culmination of their love affair showered upon them. The bride is a pretty and attractive girl who celebrated her eighteenth anniversary last Wednesday. She was formerly night operator in the telephone exchange Mr. Thompson is an energetic young man of business, popular and well liked by all who know him. The bride and groom will continue to make their home here. – Index. |
