Monterey Peninsula Herald, CA Jan. 5, 1943
Brothers in Army and Navy
Sgt. R.E. Adams, left, and Carl Donald Simon of Pacific Grove are two more brothers who chose different branches of the service to help win the war. Sgt. Adams is now at Camp Young near Indio, having enlisted at Monterey. Carl is a machinistís mate, third class, and he has seen action in the Pacific. On one occasion his boat was sunk and he lost all his personal belongings. Sgt. Adams is the son of Mrs. Glenn Simon and Carl is the son of Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Simon.
