Encarncion Ramirez Sr., 88, of Salinas, a retired farm laborer, died Friday at his home. Mr. Ramirez was born in San Miguel, Jalisco, Mexico, on March 25, 1905, and lived in Salinas for 70 years. He is survived by four daughters, Josehine Hernandez of Salinas, Rachael Escadeno of Heber, Gloria Tobias of Yuma, Ariz., and Cruz Burleson of Stratford; five sons, Arthur of Hollister, Pete of Castroville, John and Mike of Salinas, and Encarncion Jr. of San Jose; a sister, Isabel Ramirez of Mexico; a brother, Miguel of Spain; 46 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Healey Mortuary today from noon to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. The rosary will be recited today at 7:30 p.m. Services will begin tomorrow at 9 a.m. with a procession to Sacred Heart Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
