Rites Friday for Mrs. M.A. Webber
Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at 2 o’clock from St. Mary’s Episcopal church, Pacific Grove, for Mrs. Mollie Aldrich Webber who died yesterday at her Grove home following a long illness. It is requested that flowers be omitted. Paul’s mortuary is in charge of arrangements. A native of Minnesota, Mrs. Webber came across the Isthmus of Panama many years ago with her mother and three sisters to join their father who had preceeded [sic] them to Oregon where he established one of the first salmon packing concerns on the Columbia river. Three sons were born here to the couple and after the death of Mr. Aldrich, the family moved to Portland where Mollie Aldrich met and married George William Webber. The couple lived in that city for many years. Some 18 years ago the couple came to Pacific Grove where they lived quietly, making annual trips to Oregon. Mr. Webber died several months ago. The couple had no children and Mrs. Webber was the last of her immediate family. Mrs. Webber was a woman of sterling worth, a devoted wife, a loyal friend and one who lived daily according to the precepts of her Christian faith. Cremation will follow the local services.
