Monterey Peninsula Herald, CA Nov. 1, 1954
Nuptials Set For Friday
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Fuller of Seaside are announcing the engagement and forthcoming wedding of their daughter, Ollie June, and John Wendall Robinson, AC1, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wendall Robinson Sr., of Spencer, Neb. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. S.A. Fuller of Anona, Texas, and of J.A. Smallwood of Clarksville, Texas, and the late Mrs. Smallwood. She was graduated from Balboa High School in the Panama Canal Zone while her father was in civil service for the U.S. Army and also engaged in evangelist work there. Immediately after her graduation her family moved to Texarkana, Tex., where Miss Fuller worked as secretary for the Red River Arsenal for three years. Miss Fuller came to the Peninsula in February with her family, when Mr. Fuller took over duties as minister of the Church of Christ in Seaside, and she has been working as a secretary at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School. Her fiancé attended schools in Franklin, Nev., enlisting in the Navy immediately after high school graduation. He is stationed at the Postgraduate School. Incidentally, he is the eighth member of his family to be named John Wendall, a name given to the oldest boy in the Robinson family. The wedding will take place Nov. 5 in the Church of Christ in Pacific Grove, with the bride’s father officiating.
