Helen Burnette Will Be a Bride of March 28th
The 28th day of March will be Miss Helen Burnette’s wedding day. She and Robert Morris of Waynesboro, Georgia, will be united in marriage at a springtime wedding at 11 o’clock that morning in the garden of the Los Altos home of Helen’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Julian G. Burnette. Leota Burnette, the 11-year-old sister of the bride-to-be, will be her maid of honor. Other attendants have not yet been named. Helen attended the local schools while her parents resided here, but she later studied at the Castilleja School in Palo Also and was graduated from Palo Alto high school. She attended Stanford university for a time, and is now secretary at the Los Altos elementary school, where she plans to continue her work after her marriage. Helen, the granddaughter of Mrs. Owen G. Burnette of Pacific Grove and a niece of Gabriel Burnette of Carmel, is the sister of Julian Burnette Jr., and Alex Burnette. Mr. Morris, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Glynn Morriss, who will come out from Waynesboro for the wedding, is a Stanford graduate and now a candidate for a graduate degree in psychology at the university, where he will continue his studies after his marriage. He will establish a home for his bride in Los Altos.
