JoAnn Wilson is Engaged
Lt. Col. (USA, ret.) John S. Wilson and Mrs. Wilson of Monterey are announcing the engagement of their daughter, JoAnn, and Robert “Beau” Stark of New York City. A 1967 graduate of West High School, Anchorage, Alaska, Miss Wilson is now attending Monterey Peninsula College and is a receptionist at Driftwood Convalescent Hospital. She has two sisters, Diane Jean and Jacqueline Wilson of Monterey, and two brothers, Karl B. Gruetmacher of Bonn, Germany, and Lt. L.F. Gratzmacher of Fort Eustis, Ca. The future bride is the granddaughter of John Wilson and the late Mrs. Wilson of Santa Cruz and of Mrs. Ernest Diepschlag and the late Mr. Diepschlag of Leipzig, Germany. Mr. Stark, son of Mr. & Mrs. Robert Edward Stark of Denville, N.H., was a professional actor before entering the service. He recently completed the advanced Russian course at the Defense Language Institute and at present is teaching in the East Slavic Division there. Next month he will be transferred to the Foreign Language Technology Center in Washington, D.C. Still acting in his spare time, he is currently starring in “Star Spangled Girl” at the Studio Theater, Carmel. Mr. Stark is the grandson of the late Mr. & Mrs. Ambrose Stark of Morristown, N.J., of William Garrabrant and late Mrs. Garrabrant of Millburn, N.J. Following their marriage next October on the Monterey Peninsula, the young couple will live in Washington, D.C.
