Monterey Peninsula Herald, CA Dec. 14, 1968
Miss Crittenden and G.L. Branch to Wed Dec. 23
Prof. and Mrs. Eugene C. Crittenden Jr. of Monterey are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth, to Gregory Lowman Branch, of San Luis Obispo. The wedding will be at All Saints Episcopal Church on Dec. 23. Miss Crittenden attended Monterey High School and Monterey Peninsula College. She is in her junior year at the University of Washington, majoring in oceanography. The bride-to-be has one brother, Robert N. Crittenden, a senior at Monterey High School, and she is the granddaughter of Mrs. Arthur R. Woolfolk of Monterey and Mrs. Eugene C. Crittenden of Washington, D.C. The late Mr. Crittenden was for many years associate director of the U.S. Bureau of Standards in Washington. Mr. Branch is the son of Mr. & Mrs. Russell T. Branch of Goleta, former Monterey Peninsula residents. As his parents have just left this country for a three-year assignment to Bangkok for the Stanford Research Institute, Mr. Branch’s uncle and aunt, Mr. & Mrs. Stephen Cline of Los Altos, will take their place at the wedding. The future bridegroom attended Carmel High School and Monterey Peninsula College. He is a student of mechanical engineering at California Polytechnic College, where his younger brother, Clifford, is a freshman. An older brother, Torry, is completing work for his doctorate in Paris. Mr. Branch is the grandson of Mr. & Mrs. Russell T. Branch of Port Washington, N.Y.
