George Abreu Will Receive Purple Heart Parents Hear
Pvt. George Abreu, Pacific Grove service man, will receive the Purple Heart, a letter to his mother, Mrs. John Abreu, of Willow street, revealed Wednesday. Reported wounded in action in France by a War Department telegram, his parents were relieved to know that he is resting comfortably in an English hospital. Pvt. Abreu, who has only been on the European front for 10 weeks, participated in a great deal of the heavy fighting. His last letter, written early in October, stated that he had received no mail since he went overseas. The nature of his wound had not been revealed
