Pacific Grove Tribune Fri., May 18, 1945
Ethridge Brothers Have First Meeting in Navy Uniform
Seaman 1/c Robert Ethridge and his brother, Paul, petty officer 3/c, did lots of traveling about the world before they ever saw each other in uniform. They had that pleasure for the first time when they spent May 6 together, somewhere in the Pacific. To prove it, they sent their parents, Mr. & Mrs. John Ethridge, a picture taken in white uniforms, stating they had had one grand day. Robert was on the Nevada in both the Normandy and Iwo Jima invasions. Paul is on an attack supply ship. Paul entered the service in 42, and Robert donned the blue early the next year. Both are graduates of Pacific Grove high school.
