Carmel Woman Dies
Mrs. Grace Van Aman, wife of John W. Van Aman, Dolores street and 11th avenue, Carmel, died early today. Arrangements are pending at Paul’s Mortuary.

Resident of Carmel Succumbs
Mrs. Anna Grace Van Aman, a resident of Carmel for the past 16 years, died yesterday in a local hospital after a long period of failing health. She was born April 4, 1874, in Iowa. Prior to coming with her husband, John W. Van Aman, to establish a home at Dolores and Eleventh streets in Carmel, she lived for many years in Jersey City, N.J. Mrs. Van Aman was a member of the Church of the Wayfarer, of the Sons and Daughters of Liberty, Columbia Council, Jersey City, and for the past 35 years a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Forestville Chapter 71, Jersey City. In addition to her husband, she leaves two sons, Elton Van Aman of Menlo Park and Albert Van Aman of Glendale; and two grandsons, Albert and Dale Van Aman of the U.S. Air Force. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in The Paul Mortuary, Pacific Grove, with Dr. K. Filmore Gray of the Church of the Wayfarer officiating. Burial will take place in the Monterey City Cemetery.
