Anne Ferrante Weds Today
Mr. & Mrs. Peter Ferrante of Carmel left the Peninsula Saturday to fly to Montreal where they attended the wedding today of their daughter, Angela Anne, to Geoge Eastman Pickett. The wedding took place at the Montreal Unitarian Church. Anne is a member of one of the Peninsula’s well known families. Her father, who gave her in marriage, has been associated for many years with the law firm of Hudson, Martin, Ferrante and Street. She is the sister of Mrs. Benjamin G.W. Dew (Alice Ferrante), the granddaughter of Mrs. Erasimo Ferrante of Monterey and the niece of Mrs. John Lomanto, Mrs. Ray Dillenbach and Bruce Ferrante of Monterey, Mrs. William Whitney of San Francisco and Mrs. Paul Territo of Redwood City. The meeting of the two was a romantic one. It occurred when George drove West this past summer with Anne’s brother-in-law, Ben Dew, his classmate at McGill University, where they are both fourth year medical students. George is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Justus C. Pickett of Morgantown, West Virginia. He attended Western Reserve Academy and is a graduate of Harvard University. Anne is a graduate of Carmel High School, received her A.A. degree from Palos Verdes College and later studied at the University of California. Mrs. Dew was her sister’s only attendant and Dr. Pickett was his son’s best man. The reception took place immediately after the ceremony at the Montreal home of Mr. & Mrs. Dew. The couple will live in Montreal until the end of the school year in June. A future home will be dependent upon the groom’s choice for his medical career. The Ferrantes expect to return home at the end of the week.
