Miss Foster Becomes Bride of Louis Cahen
At a charming wedding ceremony in Stanford Memorial chapel Miss Jane Elizabeth Foster of Carmel became the bride of Mr. Louis H. Cahen of San Francisco. Only immediate relatives witnessed the pretty wedding. Miss Foster who is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Fenton Foster of Carmel, was given in marriage by her father. The ceremony took place at 4:30 o’clock on Friday, January 23, with Rev. Charles Gardner officiating. The bride was lovely in a formal afternoon gown of beige lace. She wore a picture hat to match and carried a shower bouquet of gardenias and lilies of the valley. Miss Barbara Normand of Carmel, the maid of honor, was frocked in a dress of blue tulle. A picture hat also completed her costume and she carried a bouquet of flowers to harmonize. Mr. Robert Cahen of San Francisco, brother of the groom, was the best man. Aside from the bridal party, those present at the wedding were Mr. & Mrs. Foster, Mrs. I.K. Cahen of San Francisco, mother of the groom; Mrs. L. stern of Atherton and Mr. F. Brankenheimer of San Francisco. The guests were entertained at a wedding supper in San Francisco following the ceremony. Mr. & Mrs. Cahen have left for the south by motor on their honeymoon. They will return in about two weeks and stop at the Mark Hopkins hotel in San Francisco until settled. Miss Foster received her schooling at Heads in Berkeley. Later she attended art school in San Francisco. The groom is engaged in business in San Francisco, being head of the Associated Advertising company.
