Elois Beach, Martin Mazur, Wed Saturday Honeymoon in Chicago
Honeymooning in Chicago this week are newlyweds Martin Mazur of the coast guard and his wife, the attractive Elois Beach of East Monterey, who were married at the Baptist church Saturday evening. Looking lovely as Rev. Paul Travis officiated at the candlelight ceremony, the bride was dressed in traditional white satin of an elegant design. A dainty lace yolk bordered the sweetheart neck line and the same lace paneled the full skirt. The long sleek white sleeves ended in points over the hands. Elois’ veil was white tulle, fingertip length, bordered in lace. She carried a frothy bouquet of white stock and carnation, centered with two white orchids. Her only attendant was Louella Mayer, a friend since their Pacific Grove high school days. Miss Mayer, wearing a crown of pink tulle, carried a bouquet made up of pink flowers. Her dress was of bouffant blue net. The reception, complete with a three-tiered wedding cake, was held at the attractive Beach home at 343 Casa Verde. Out of town guests included the new Mrs. Mazur’s sister, Mrs. Dan Fitch, her husband and their son Vai Dean Decker of Los Angeles, and the bride’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Floyd Beach of San Mateo. As she departed in a shower of rice, the bride wore a suit of soft gold wool with a black top-coat and bag. Her gloves and hat were fuchsia. A graduate of Pacific Grove High School in 1942, Mrs. Mazur was employed at the Mission Creameries before her marriage. She and R.T. 3/c Mazur will live in Oak Grove when they return from visiting his relatives in Chicago.
