September 30 will be the birthday of Paulette Eloise Killop who was born at 5:36 p.m. She is the daughter of Lt. Paul and Mrs. Killopp and was born at the Peninsula Community Hospital.
A real Irishman is Thomas Patrick Sullivan, who was born to Lt. Commdr. And Mrs. David E. Sullivan of the Monterey Peninsula Country Club on September 29.

Sgt. and Mrs. F. Hamaker Have a Son
Franklin Elwood is the name of the firstborn of Sgt. and Mrs. Frank Hamaker of Van Nuys, and grandson of Mr. & Mrs. L.D. Harvey of Del Monte Grove. The new mother is the former Arline Harvey. The boy arrived at Van Nuys hospital, and has been named after his father, now with the Tenth Air force in France, and an uncle, Elwood George Harvey, seaman 1/c, at San Bruno. On the mother’s side there are three other uncles, Wayne, Kenneth and Daniel, and an aunt, Mrs. Valerie Tiltie of Van Nuys. Fellow associates at a New Monterey auto supply firm noted an extra gleam lately in the eyes of granddad Harvey and discovered he has new a third stripe claim on the title.

Mrs. Eugene Forman Now Has a Son, Garry
Garry Eugene Gorman was the name chosen by Mrs. Eugene Gorman for her infant son, born in the Peninsula hospital October 8, “Baby Gorman” as the nurses call him, weighted 6 lbs., 12 ounces. Mrs. Gorman, the former Alma Falt, well-known Grove girl, is living at the family home at 192 Del Monte Blvd. Her parents are B.T. Falts, who were elated to greet their new grandson. Mrs. Gorman’s husband, an army man, is away.

Jane Doe Blake – Lt. Col. And Mrs. Charles Blake of 895 Ocean View avenue, Pacific Grove, welcomed a baby daughter at the Peninsula Community Hospital, October 6. She had not been named.

Well-known ex-peninsula folk, Louie and Esther, Regier, Oleart, announced the birth of a son, Kenneth Paul, in New Orleans. Born September 17, he weighed 8 lbs. and 14 ounces.
Clifford Oliver Shold Jr. was the name selected by the popular couple for their son, born October 3 at the Monterey hospital. Shold, who is stationed at Ft. Ord, was lucky enough to have a 14-day furlough when his 7 lb. 4 ½ oz. son arrived.
Susan Judith Paquin – by reversing her names, the former Judith Susan Diaman derived a piquant combination for her new daughter, Susan Judith, who arrived at 7:30 a.m. October 6 at the Monterey hospital. She weighed 7 lbs., 8 ½ ounces. Cpl. And Mrs. Raymond Albert Paquin will live with this their first child at 213 1/3 Park street. Originally from New Hampshire, they have been in Pacific Grove for four months.
