Seaside- Florida “Flo” Mae Kidd, a homemaker, died March 29 at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz. She was 66. Born May 25, 1933, in New Orleans, she lived in Seaside for 52 years. Mrs. Kidd was a graduate of Monterey High School. For more than 40 years, she was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she served as a deaconess and Sunday School teacher. She also sang in the choir and decorated the church for various events. Her hobbies included crafts, gardening, quilting, designing clothes and shopping for others. She is survived by six sons, Anthony Kidd, Daniel Kidd, Rickye Kidd and Robert Smith Jr., all of Seaside, Raymond Kidd of Sacramento and Michael Kidd of Dakar, Senegal, West Africa; daughter, Valerie Glazier of Sacramento; her mother, Evelyn Wagner of Armstrong; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one niece. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvy, and her sister, Mary Louise Henry. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday at Chapel of Seaside. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at New Hope Baptist Church in Seaside. Burial will follow in Mission Memorial Park.
