W.C. Adams of Grove Passes
Stricken with a serious illness two months ago, William C. Adams, 61 year old Pacific Grove resident, died yesterday at a local hospital. Manager of the Peirce and Towle store in Monterey for many years, Adams was widely known throughout the peninsula. He was a member of the Elks and Rotary club. Adams is survived by his widow, Mrs. Flora B. Adams of Pacific Grove, three daughters, Dorothy and Barbara Adams of Pacific Grove and Mrs. Doris Wentworth, of Ventura; a son, Norman Adams of Pacific Grove, a sister, Mrs. Minnie S. Parker of Pacific Grove and one grandchild, Mary Elizabeth Wentworth of Ventura. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o’clock at The Paul Mortuary chapel with officers of the local Elks lodge in charge. Burial in El Carmelo Cemetery will follow.

Rites Tomorrow for W.C. Adams
Funeral services for William C. Adams, 61, prominent Pacific Grove resident who died Monday after two months’ illness, will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock at the Paul mortuary chapel under the direction of the local Elks lodge. Pall bearers will be brother members of the Elks and fellow employees of the Peirce and Towle hardware store which Adams managed for many years. Members of the Boy Scout troop sponsored by the Rotary club will be honorary pall bearers. A member of the Rotary club, Adams was a member of the committee in charge of the Scout troop.
