Funeral Services for Hermina Lang
The funeral of the late Jennie Hermina Lang was held from the Lang residence at 814 Grace street, New Monterey, yesterday with a large number of her many sorrowing friends present. The local parlor of the Native Daughters of the Golden West, of which she was the president, were present – in a body. The Pythian Sisters also attended in a group as did the employees of the local telephone exchange where she was employed as an operator for many years. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Rev. T.J. Barkle, of Pacific Grove, preached the funeral sermon and the deceased’s three brothers, Rudolph, Herbert and Louis and her brother-in-law, H.Baker acted as pall bearers. Internment was in El Carmelo Cemetery, Pacific Grove.
