S.F. Woman Passes Here
Mrs. Eva Mary Jakobs of San Francisco, beloved mother of Frank C. Jakobs of this city, died suddenly at the home of her son on Munras avenue yesterday morning. Mrs. Jakobs was making a Memorial Day visit with her relatives here when she was taken by death. A heart attack is said to have been the cause of her passing. Mrs. Jakobs was 76 years old. She was born in Germany on May 19, 1849, but for many years past has been a resident of California. The deceased was well known on the Peninsula, especially among members of the women’s Masonic organizations of which she was a prominent member. She belonged to the Richmond chapter of the Eastern Star in San Francisco, as well as to the Amaranth and held membership in the White Shriners of Jerusalem. She was also a member of the Keramic [obscured data] following sons and daughters: Frank C. Jakobs of Monterey, Walter G. Jakobs of San Francisco, Miss Amelia M.K. Jakobs of San Francisco, and Ernest W. Jakobs of that city. Her grandchildren are Frank S. Jakobs, on of Frank C. Jakobs of Monterey, and Walter A.E., Wilbur B., and Eva Jakobs, children of Walter Lakobs. She was the widow of the late John C. Jakobs. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 o’clock in San Francisco at the funeral parlors of Ashley & Mulling, Geary and Eighth street. The remains will be cremated.
