Old Spanish Resident Dies
Manuel Antonio Martin, one of the last survivors of the famous Boronda family, passed away yesterday afternoon at his home on Boronda road, Monterey. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Martin. The only surviving relatives of the deceased are a niece and nephew, Mrs. Emma B. Ambrosio, Boronda road, and David Cervantes of Palo Corona. Martin was born in Monterey on Feb. 29, 1852, and was a life long resident of this city. He was 73 years of age at the time of his death. Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock from the home of his niece. Mrs. Ambrosio. Following services there, mass will be celebrated at San Carlos church and interment will take place in the Monterey catholic cemetery.

Services Here For Monterey Pioneer
Funeral services were held this morning for the late Manuel Antonio Martin, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Martin, who died at his home on the Boronda Road, Monterey Wednesday. The services were held at the home of Mrs. Emma Ambrosio, aunt of the deceased. Following the services there Mass was said at San Carlos church. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery. With the death of Martin another of the few remaining survivors of the famous Boronda family passes into memory. The only surviving relatives now are Mrs. Amma Ambrosio of Boronda road and David Cervantes of Palo Corona.
