Frank Escobar Taken by Death
Frank “Kiko” Escobar, grandson of Governor Alvarado and pioneer Monterey resident passed away Sunday afternoon following a lingering illness at the home of Eddie Burns, with whom he has resided for the past 20 years. Mr. Escobar was born in Monterey 82 years ago. Before his retirement, he was foreman of the Sergeant Ranch, now known as the Gordon Moore ranch. Mr. Escobar was the uncle of the late Mrs. Eddie Burns. He leaves two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Stenhouse of Monterey and Mrs. Eline Preve of Livermore, and a brother, Marcelino Escobar of Oregon. Funeral services are in charge of Dorney funeral home and will be announced later.

Escobar Services Tomorrow
Funeral services for Frank Escobar, Monterey, who died Sunday, will be held at the Dorney Funeral Home tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 9 o’clock. Services there will be followed by mass at the San Carlos church at 9:30 o’clock, and burial will be in the Monterey Catholic cemetery. Rosary will be said tonight (Tuesday) at the funeral home at 7:30 o’clock.
