Former Carmel Resident Dies in San Mateo
Word was received today of the death of Charles Seabury Eytinge, a former resident for many years of Carmel, where he and his wife made their home at Camino Real and Seventh street. Mr. Eytinge passed away on July 18 in the Mills Memorial Hospital, San Mateo, following an illness of three months. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Bertha Eytinge of Burlingame, a sister, Mrs. Hugh Baxter of New Rochelle, N.Y., and a niece and nephew residing in London. Both Mr. and Mrs. Eytinge were well known in Carmel, where the latter’s sister, Mrs. Smith Midkiff and aunt, Mrs. Joseph F. Hartley, make their permanent residence.
