Mary Van Orsdol received her B.A. in history from UC San Diego, her M.A. in history from the University of Minnesota, and her M.L.S. from UCLA. She has worked as a librarian for 20 years. She is currently the head of the Genealogy Division at the Carlsbad City Library. Mary has worked on her family's genealogy for the past 10 years and specializes in the genealogy of New Netherland families. .
