Finding Living Relatives

This month's program will feature Joan Lowrey's, "Finding Living Relatives". Joan will guide us through various internet websites in our pursuit of "lost" and living relatives. Learn how to locate those cousins that exist in your descendant charts, but have no clue where they are now.

Joan is well known in our Society and has given several presentations on various genealogical research topics. She is member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, and specializes in German Research (U.S., and Germany). Joan founded the Computer Genealogy Society of San Diego, maintains its website, and is editor of its quarterly magazine, COMPU.GEN. She is the author of the Personal Ancestral File Users Guide (1990-1997), co-author of the Guide to Genealogy Software (Genealogical Publishing Company, 1993), and author of many articles for Genealogical Computing magazine. She has served on Ancestry's Advisory Board and the GENTECH Board of Directors. Joan has a BA degree in mathematics, with a minor in German.
