"Oh Brethren Where Art Thou?"
"I Didn't See That Coming,"

Subject: A FAMILY STORY IN TWO PARTS

Part I - Oh Brethren, Where Art Thou? Filling in the historical details of a family's flight from religious persecution in its Swiss homeland to its religious persecution in its new home in America. What were the differences, and did they matter? Fleshing out your story with historical information.
Part II - I Didn't See THAT Coming Continuing the story of this family, focusing on my maternal grandfather and his shenanigans.

Tom is a past president of NSDCGS
Tom was introduced to genealogy by his friend Al Albeyta fifteen years ago, after happily retiring from the practice of law in Northern California. He has traced both family lines back to ancestors of dubious character, yet remains undaunted in the quest for more. Tom is best known for developing the widely-acclaimed Clap Your Hands if You Find Anything Interesting technique, most useful in large cemetery exploration. Besides genealogy, Tom enjoys kayaking and traveling, and is often mistaken on the road for Uncle Joe Everyman. A member of NSDCGS for ten years, he lives in San Diego with the lovely and vivacious Meg (his dog) and his wife.
