Mary Van Orsdol received a BA in history at UCSD, an MA in history at the University of Minnesota, and a MLS at UCLA. She has worked as a librarian for more than 20 years. She is currently head of the Genealogy Division at the Carlsbad City Library and is an experienced genealogist.
