Taylor Hotel on April Fools Day 1948. At first, residents thought that the fire alarm was an April Fools Day joke. It obviously was not. This was a sad day for Taylorsville locals, as the hotel was just being restored and already had a soda fountain and a very fine dinner house at its rear. Indian Valley Museum archives photo.
