We are researching my wife's grandfather Albert COUSENS who emigrated
to the USA in the 1920's - his wife and sons stayed in England.
We have managed to find a copy of his death certificate - he died
on 24 February 1966 (aged 84) in Reynard Way Convalescent Hospital,
3025 Reynard Way. The informant was Edwin A MALING of 2934-5th
Avenue - was he an official or a friend of Albert? Alberts last
residence was 401 Olive Street and he had been in San Diego County
for 10 years (previously in Illinois area). Who is living there
today? Are there any surviving relatives? (We believe Albert remarried
- Lucy - in the USA, and he is shown on the death certificate
as a widower.) Benbough Funeral Parlor handled his funeral and
he is buried in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Would there be records at either
of these places - we would particularly like to know if there
is a gravestone.

I am searching for more information on Joseph Lewellin Durbin.
My family history states that he traveled to San Fransico at the
start of the gold rush, bought supplies for a store and moved
on to Marysville, Cal. where he started the first store in that
town, then he later invested in orange groves near Fallbrook,
Cal., which some of the land from became part of the Marine Base
at Camp Pendleton, Cal. I do not know the date of his death, his
wifes name, and only have the name of one of his children, John
Franklin Durbin B. abt 1856, D abt 1938, married Emma Francis
Nichols 8/18/885. Anyone with information on these people or places

from Grant County Wisconsin. Winifred's father was Thomas W. Winskill.His
mother was Mary M. (Dolly) Hicks. Mary's mother was Polly (Bartow)
Lee-Sabins. Polly is my husbands Great-great Grandmother with
her second husband Charles Sabins. Am interested in corresponding

West from Wewoka, Ok. and then they divorced and he moved back
to Ca. He had a brother named travis SHELBY, 2 sisters named Annie

Michael Lee MATHIAS, II. He was supposedly married to a woman
named "Lety" sometime while was in the Navy in San Diego.
They might have been married in Las Vegas, but lived in the San

Looking for my gg grandfather, Otis Leroy REEDY. Born 1877, Ross
Co., Ohio, died 1966 in San Ysidro, San Diego, CA. He left Iowa
in 1906 never to return and had been in CA 6 yrs. at time of his
death. Does anyone know him? He was married to Sarah ?, Russian
born, who died in 1968 in San Diego. They are both buried in unmarked
graves in Hope Cemetery in San Diego. Anyone know of them? Would
like to find out more.

sometime between 1912 and 1920. Ernest was born Jan 1868 and emigrated
from Oland, Sweden. He had children: Alice C.(abt June 1895),
Conrad(June 1899), Walter(May 1900), Mildred Ruth(abt1906), Ferdinand
E.(abt 1907), Leonard C.(abt 1910)&Shirley P.(abt 1912). In San
Diego, they lived on a farm on Magnolia Ave where Ernest was a
farmer. Ernest also had 2 sisters that eventually joined him in
SD. THey were Judith SWANSON DABLOW TAYLOR and Bettie SWANSON
CYR.

H. George Deahl. Fred and Evangeline adopted 2 twin girls, Jacqueline
and Jocelyn. Joseph, Louise, Frank, Marion, Fred, and Evangeline
all died in San Diego and are interred at Cypress View Mausoleum

Looking for information or descendents of Francisco CASTRO born
abt. 1801 on frontier of Baja California and Alta California.
He married Joanna Canisares and had at least one son, Manuel Castro
who settled in Sacramento in 1859. Manuel married Gustella Paz,
of Baja California March 19, 1860 in Sacramento. Francisco was
a pilot for ships that sailed from San Blas>San Diego>Santa
Clara>San Francisco. Any information appreciated.
