Mission Hills is a census-designated place (CDP) in Santa Barbara County, California, a short distance north of Lompoc on Highway 1. The population was 3,142 at the 2000 census.

The average household size was 2.99 and the average family size was 3.26.
In the CDP the population was spread out with 29.8% under the age of 18, 5.2% from 18 to 24, 26.4% from 25 to 44, 24.0% from 45 to 64, and 14.7% who were 65 years of age or older.
