With the following entry, which is the first burial in the new Calvary Cemetery at 199 North Hope Avenue, Santa Barbara, CA 93105, the “Old Catholic Cemetery” was closed to further burials.

“John C. Kays, 83 years of age, a native of Ireland, were after the usual funeral services performed in the Church was interred in Calvary cemetery, Lot 1, Block 9, Pl. C. He received all the Sacraments of the Church.”
