Membership in the Santa Barbara County Genealogical Society is available to anyone interested in genealogy. The membership year begins July 1st; applicants may join at any time during the year; the membership will be made retroactive to the previous July 1 if paid before March, and will be 50% less after March.

• Monthly general meetings are held on the third Saturday except August, at 10:00 AM to bring to our members guest speakers, panels, demonstrations and reports on the latest activities of the Society preceded at 9:30 AM with seminars for beginners and a Help Wanted Group, a Sales Table of supplies and books, sociability and refreshments;
• Subscription to the monthly newsletter, Tree Tips and Ancestors West, published quarterly, providing the latest news on genealogy, resources and special projects of the society;
