Ventura County lies north of Los Angeles County, South of both Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties on the Coast of California. It is rich in history:
"In 1769, Spanish missionaries brought the first citrus to California when they established the twenty-one California missions. Farming in Ventura County started when Father Serra founded the San Buenaventura Mission in 1783. He planted citrus along with other fruit trees and vegetables."
