Yolo County Courthouse, Woodland

Yolo County Courthouse, located at 725 Court Street, Woodland, California. According to David L. Wilkinson in his book Crafting a Valley Jewel on page 76, the William Henry Weeks firm designed the Yolo County Courthouse, which was designed in the Renaissance Revival style, that replaced the original courthouse built in 1864. Robert Trost of San Francisco constructed the Courthouse in 1917. According to the National Register of Historic Places web site, the Yolo County Courthouse was added to the list in 1986 as Building #86003660.

According to the pamphlet, Walking Tour of Historic Woodland, Bicentennial Special Edition, City of Woodland, 1976, white granite was used for the exterior of the Courthouse, and the interior walls are of Vermont marble and floors of Italian chipped marble (Trevacco).
